
Dr. Sean Finnie serves as a Senior Grain Science Advisor to Tritica Biosciences through SIF Grains, LLC, where he contributes specialized expertise in grain science and food technology. Currently, he also serves as Director of Research at the USDA-ARS Western Wheat Quality Laboratory and holds Adjunct Faculty positions in the School of Food Science and Molecular Plant Sciences at Washington State University.
His distinguished career spans academia, government research, and industry leadership. His industry experience includes roles at Bay State Milling and Cargill Incorporated. He has held numerous leadership positions within the Cereal and Grains Association, including Associate Editor of Cereal Chemistry, Program Chair for the 2019 Annual Meeting, and current Board of Directors member.
Dr. Finnie holds a PhD in Grain Science and Industry from Kansas State University, a master's and bachelor's in Food Science from the University of Idaho, and completed postdoctoral research at KU Leuven in Belgium.
